What is some advice you’d give kind of that young new entrepreneur um going through their ups and downs? Like, what are some of the struggles that you’ve gone through and how have you kind of overcome those?
It Is A Mental Game
A lot of the door-to-door game has to do with your mental state, right? I speak from experience. One of the biggest things is getting out of the home. When I started realizing and being self-aware that I wasn’t doing what I was supposed to do on a day-to-day basis, it completely changed everything. I’m talking about even when I started my team, right? I had to lead from the forefront and I had to go out there and let the guys know that the opportunity was real. The money was real and it was tangible. You could touch it you could smell it, right? You could ride in it, right? Once I realized that was possible, then I started you know basically integrating and remaining a student for this whole time.
Remain A Student
Don’t stop being a student. I’ve been in the industry so I reached out to Sam and I reached out to Albert. I paid 5k to Albert. I paid 15k a year to come over here and teach us. But, dude, I’ve already gotten my return. I will have it back in full in about 20 days. Invest in yourself and never stop learning. If you aren’t learning from those who came before you, you will be wasting your time will trial and error learning the same things they could have taught you. That is a great way to waste a lot of time. Reach out and learn the easier way.
Make It No Matter What
I’m not as fluid as everybody, but I will do whatever it takes to make it. Even though I’m not as great as some of the other dudes, I’m going to make it no matter what. Nobody’s going to stop me, regardless of what’s happening. It’s not that you’re not going to make it, you just probably need the right resources. And that’s what I would tell somebody. If you’re hard-working, especially in the door-to-door game, and don’t give up, go super hard, and then start getting mentorship with successful guys like Sam, you are going to see results. These guys are you know when I talk to them, I was like holy, I don’t really have to say anything to these guys because they’re where they need to be and they were ready to show me how to get to where they were.
Be Coachable
But, if you’re not making it, you’re not getting the right information from the right people. I would recommend you start looking for mentors that help you get there faster. I have a model that says you could either get there in six months or you could get there in a year and a half. You could even get there in a month if you really wanted. So, you know that my biggest advice to everybody is to stay coachable. Remain a student and then pass on the information to everybody else so that’s what I would say to everybody. Especially the guys that are struggling right now. Get the coaching you need to make it and pair that with hard work.
Find Your Tribe
Get around the right people so you are surrounded by success. What we have been able to build is a result of being around the right people. For example, Chad and I are always together in everything that we do. As soon as we decided to come here, I started reaching out. I watched very carefully on the response times and watched very carefully on you know how friendly people were and how much love there was for the relationship. That’s why I came to work with Roberto because I felt that connection. It’s all about getting around the right people when you are a brand-new rep. If you’re planning to get into solar or any other business, look for the ones who are crushing it and also willing to give out information. Those who are successful and are willing to coach you, train you, and take you under their wing are those you want in your tribe. But then, you’ve got to put into work as well. so that’s what I would say just get around the right people. It doesn’t happen by accident. It is up to you to seek the people who are doing great things or who are in the position that you want to be in and then work to follow in their footsteps.
