What’s up guys, my name’s Sam Taggart. I am the door-to-door expert and I host events and content podcasts. You want to know how to get into door to door? A lot of people deem this as like a scummy job or whatever, but the reality is you can make a ton of money. You just need to know the right steps to get into it. You could sell anything door to door. I started in and door to door when I was 11 years old, painting the addresses on the curbs. Now, imagine this I’m like 11, 12 years old. I knock a door and I’m like, Hey, for 15, 20 bucks, I’ll paint the address on your curb. It’s recommended by the police, the fire department, so people can find your house easier. I’ll do it right now. Cash or check and I’m closing deals 3, 4, 5 of those an hour.
So, as a 13 year old cat, 12 year old cat, I’m closing making six 50, a hundred bucks an hour. You’re probably, if you’re watching this video, not making that. So, what I’ve found at a young age is I can go eat what I kill. I can go create money and be a hunter. The reality is, door to door is an amazing vehicle. You can sell anything from pests, solar, satellite, roofing, vacuums, Chi, these home improvement, windows, doors, whatever you want, you could sell door to door. So, the way to get into it, to really make a substantial amount of money is to make sure to follow these seven steps. Okay?
Find The Right Company And Product
So, the first step is find the right company and product. Find something you’re passionate about. Find a company you resonate with that has a good culture pay its people on time has a fair compensation that has literally the environment and people you wanna surround yourself with that are gonna motivate you to be the best you can be.
Make Sure You Get The Right Trainer
Now, the second tip is get trained and get onboarded. Make sure you have the right training. You get the right, uh, you know, onboarding process and things like that. So you don’t just get thrown out to the walls. Like a lot of companies are like, recruit, come work for me. And then they’re like, good luck. And you’re like, I don’t even know what the heck I’m doing. So we have an entire university called door-to-door university. If your company doesn’t have it already, make sure they go get it. If you don’t, if your company’s too cheap to buy it, then you buy it. Like, if you really wanna become a professional at this, you gotta go invest it in yourself. Uh, watch the podcast, the YouTube videos, like their manual. They may already have videos and training and stuff like that. Go read it.
Get The Right Tools And Resources
Uh, the number three is make sure that you get the right tools and resources. A lot of times, if you don’t have the right screwdriver and you’re trying to put a bed together, it’s gonna take you five times longer trying to put this thing together. So, you know, a lot of companies have knocking apps, uh, badges shirts, licensing, polos, like all the stuff that you need, paperwork, you know, documents, uh, maps, like whatever that is that they need to send you out with the right tools so that you can be successful.
Get Assigned To an Area
Now, the fourth thing is get assigned an area. You know what I mean? You’ve gotta, you gotta know where you’re knocking. Some, some people they’re just like good luck. And you’re like, where do I knock? So how to pick an area is you wanna to make sure you go to areas that are highly populated with people that have been successful already in your neighborhood. If people are buying your product in that neighborhood, that means they’re probably gonna keep buying your product in that neighborhood. Uh, now a lot of times you’re gonna be shadowing a rep. So that’s the next step.
Shadow The Best
Is go shadow the best. Don’t go get stuck with some like brand new guys. And then you got two new idiots teaching each other, idiotic things, go find the guy that’s the best and say, if I could just copy and paste exactly what he’s doing, I’ll probably be successful. That’s why we give free content. That’s why we have the university. And so you can copy and paste the best already.
Get Your Face Kicked In
Now, the next one is, get your face kicked in. So number six is just go get your face kicked in. A lot of people spend two, three weeks training because they’re just like avoiding the fact that you are going to go get your face kicked in. That just means, go try it out. You’re gonna get, you’re gonna lose. You’re gonna fail. You’re gonna stumble. You’re gonna blank. You’re gonna like, I, I love shadowing. First year guys, they knocked their first door and they’re like, I’m like, say something. They’re like, uh, but I’m next door. You know what I mean? It’s like, it’ll happen. That’s just normal happen to me. Like I remember that was me.
Commit To Mastery
And then the last one is, go continue to grow, continue to study. And we call this the path to mastery, become the master. If you you’re gonna want to get into door to door, don’t just dip your toe to go two feet in, go, go commit to mastery. Be like, if I wanna be good at basketball, if I wanna go be good at the piano, I’m gonna get good at it. Don’t just be like, okay, like, I’ll get good. So commit to that because the good ones they get paid very healthy. So, if you’re trying to get into door to door, hit me up.

How’d I not jumped into door to door. I, can imagine like finishing college, going to get some real normal job where I’m making 60, 70 grand a year and then working my way up the ladder. That’s not what life’s about. Like, come on, like go, when you kill, get paid, what you’re worth, let’s go.
