Time management is super important. When you are able to dial in and lead yourself, this will help you and your team be more disciplined. You will find you are doing less, but still getting more done. This is especially important for leaders and really anyone in the door-to-door industry. Trying to do everything will lead to being overwhelmed and overworked. Don’t fall into this trap. Follow our tips specifically for you to gain control of your time and life and form yourself into the leader you want to become.
Don’t Forget Your To-Don’t List
Your to-do list is probably miles long. We get so hyper-focused on everything we need to do that we forget to think about the things we shouldn’t do. Don’t add unnecessary tasks to your life and create more stress. Eliminate the things you do not need to do and focus on how you can delegate or cut things out. Weed these tasks out and you will find the freedom to become more productive and less stressed in the process.
Become Balanced
When we are working 18-hour days, we lose sight of what really needs to happen. Balance is going to magnify your life tenfold. When you can balance your team, your time, and your family life, your spiritual life, you are able to effectively lead better. This allows you to gain more fulfillment in the job and what you are accomplishing. You can get more done by doing less because you are meeting all your needs.
Do Less
You need to do less. An overwhelmed leader will struggle to teach their team in an effective manner. This actually causes a decrease in results. They will not progress and neither will you. Write everything down and decide what matters most and what you want to prioritize. You cannot carry the weight of the world on your shoulders and become the team player, or motivating leader you want to become. You need to do less in order to be more productive.
